Business Intelligence Oracle
The Oracle BI Presentation Catalog is used to store objects such as analyses, dashboards, and KPIs that you and other users create using Oracle BI EE. Users have their own personal folder (My folders) where they can store the objects they create. Objects in a personal folder can only be accessed by the user who created and saved the contents of that folder. Users can add subfolders to their personal folders to organize content in the most logical way for them.
Oracle Fusion Scm Analytics Helps Organizations Build Resilient Supply Chains With Improved Visibility
You can also store items in public folders where other users or groups can access them. The combination of business logic security, directory object security, and data-level security determines who can view data and objects, edit objects, and delete objects from the catalog. Your administrator creates and maintains the directory’s public folder structure.
For more information, see What is the Oracle BI Presentation Catalog? and Managing Objects in the Oracle BI Presentation Catalog. For information about setting up the catalog, see “Configuring and Managing the Oracle BI Presentation Catalog” in the Oracle Fusion Middleware System Administrator’s Guide for Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition.
To access Oracle BI EE, you use the URL, user ID, and password provided by your organization.

Oracle BI EE requires that your web browser is configured to accept cookies. It uses a cookie to track the user’s login session.
After you log in to Oracle BI EE (as described in the “Logging in to Oracle BI Enterprise Edition” section), one of the following pages opens, depending on what is configured for you:
This page is the starting point for working with Oracle BI EE. While working, you can use the global title and home page as your primary ways to navigate Oracle BI EE:
What Is Oracle Analytics Cloud?
After you access the starting point of a task, the interface shows you the page, dialog box, or editor you use to complete the task.
The home page serves as the starting point for completing tasks in Oracle BI EE. The home page is divided into sections that allow you to quickly start a specific task, find an object or access technical documentation. It also includes sections that let you quickly access items you’ve recently viewed, created, or updated, as well as items most frequently accessed by users in the groups you belong to.
Depending on what is configured as the home page, the home page may be displayed when you log in to Oracle BI EE.
Oracle E Business Suite
Otherwise, you can always go to the home page by clicking the “Home” link in the global header. For information about the global header, see What is the Oracle BI EE Global Header?
The global header provides quick access to frequently used functions and is always accessible from the user interface. For example, you can use the global title to start a new task, search the Oracle BI presentation catalog, access product documentation, or view another object without returning to the home page. The global header also contains a link to the home page so you can quickly navigate to the home page from other pages.
Oracle BI EE provides direct access to manuals, context-sensitive help, and libraries that contain conceptual and procedural information to help you understand Oracle BI EE.
Ha For Oracle Bi Ee Overview
The Act on Behalf feature allows you to act on behalf of another user in Oracle BI EE. This feature is useful, for example, when you need to work on another user’s dashboard or content, or when IT support staff want to troubleshoot another user’s account.
To use the Act As feature, your administrator must allow you to act as another user. For more information, see “Enabling Users to Act on Behalf of Others” in Oracle Fusion Middleware Security Guide for Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition.
When an administrator allows you to act on behalf of another user, the administrator may give you full or limited access to the other user’s account:
Oracle® Business Intelligence Publisher
You can see the list of users who have access to your account by opening the “My Account Dialog: Delegated Users” tab. This tab displays a list of usernames that have been granted access to your account.
You may act on behalf of another user if you have the authority to do so. For more information, see About actions for other users.
You and end users can set personal preferences for Oracle BI EE. Through the “My Account Dialog” and depending on your privileges, you can:

This guide assumes that Oracle BI EE and BI Publisher are installed and configured to work as fully integrated components in your organization. If not, then some references to BI Publisher in this guide may not apply to you.
For information about starting BI Publisher, see the Oracle Fusion Middleware User’s Guide for Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher.

Oracle Business Intelligence Applications are turnkey business intelligence solutions available for Oracle applications such as Oracle E-Business Suite, JD Edwards, Peoplesoft and Siebel. Oracle Business Intelligence applications are built on top of Oracle BI EE.
Oracle Business Intelligence For Business Profit
Oracle BI applications consist of industry-specific dashboards and analysis tools built using industry best practices to address key functional areas within an organization. Dashboards and analytics are tailored to each end-user role in the organization.
Typically, Oracle BI applications are integrated and accessed by other operational applications such as Oracle Siebel CRM applications to provide business metrics when analyzed in the context of the organization’s business function and industry. Oracle BI applications include Extract Transform Load (ETL) routines to extract, transform, and load data into the Oracle Business Analytics repository. Oracle BI applications also contain metadata that maps to the Oracle Business Analytics repository and transaction database and defines key measures and metrics for all levels of the organization. These measures and metrics are available to content designers in Oracle Business Intelligence.
Oracle Fusion applications can use content created in Oracle BI EE. This means users can access Oracle BI EE objects that are contextually relevant to their current workspace, such as analytics and dashboards. Users can also run Oracle BI EE as a tool.
