Visual Studio Business Intelligence Download – First installing VS 2010, and then installing MS SQL 2012 allowed me to integrate BIDS with VS 2010.
I have several questions on SO related to this topic, but they all deal with 2010 integrations instead of 2012.

I know with MS SQL 2012 I got SQL Server Data Tools. Does this mean that Visual Studio 2012 and BIDS cannot be integrated?

I had to update the solution here because one of the answers I received partially solved the problem. The answer provided by @user2141936 solved the problem but I kept getting BlockMixedArchitectureInstall errors when updating an existing instance.
Side note: installing the update broke my release database project on the 2012 server. You need to download and install the DACFramework patch for this.
